I founded this site in late 2004. Run by over 100 volunteers, who join simply because of the power of the idea and the reputation of the project, Watching America translates into English commentary, opinion and editorials about the United States from all over the world - so that Americans can see the impact their country is having and how they are perceived globally.
This website was the first of its kind and I was therefore able to generate a lot of media attention for it, from PBS and NPR in the US, through the Guardian in the UK, to Der Spiegel in Germany among others.
